The Argolis peninsula - oldest places of Peloponnese

The Argolis peninsula is home to some of the oldest sites in Greece. In a fairly manageable region there are neolithic, mycenaean and ancient sites. Famous are the theater of Epidaurus, the Asklepion of Troezen, the Heraion of Argos or the mycenaean castles Mycenae and Tyrins. The peninsula also has a lot to offer in terms of landscape. There are the volcanoes of Methana, the mountains around Mycenae or the Bay of Nauplion. There are destinations for photographers, nature lovers and hikers everywhere.
